IoT Communication Learning Kit for STEM Education for Smart Agriculture Application

Learning about Internet of Things (IoT) technology is a basic knowledge in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) that plays an important role in promoting innovation for new-generation teachers and students, especially in the development of solutions for smart agriculture that require real-time data management and the application of artificial intelligence. However, classroom teaching often faces resource limitations, such as access to real equipment in the agricultural industry. This article presents a learning package that emphasizes simulation through IoT communication system architecture with examples of real-time communication system operation to enhance understanding of the application of such technology in the context of smart agriculture. The experimental results show the efficiency and limitations of the system, including the successful data transmission rate and system delay, which are important indicators of IoT systems for applied learning in this field. The important indicator of IoT systems is applied learning in this field. The presented system can be used as a prototype to develop learning media to effectively enhance IoT skills and applications in the agricultural sector.
