Fabrication of Lightweight and Flexible Dielectric Resonator Absorber via Hot Pressing Process

The periodic array structure composed of polymers filled with electromagnetic absorption particles not only achieves excellent absorption performance, but also exhibits characteristics such as lightweight, miniaturization, and weather resistance, thereby demonstrating significant application potential in various civilian and military domains. In this study, electromagnetic loss material composed of carbon nanotube-filled silicone rubber is fabricated via hot press molding method, and its electromagnetic parameters are obtained using the rectangular waveguide transmission-line testing method. Based on these results, an array structure consisting of cylindrical dielectric resonators is designed. The structure exhibits a reflection coefficient below -10 dB from 8 GHz to 18 GHz, demonstrating excellent absorption performance. Finally, the proposed array structure is fabricated by hot press molding method using a custom-designed mold. The simulated and measured results show good agreement, validating the reliability of the approach.
