Dual-Band Hyperuniform Spiral Antenna Array for Grating Lobe Suppression

In this paper, we propose a dual-band hyperuniform spiral antenna array (DBHSAA). The DBHSAA consists of two sets of spiral antennas—Ant. A with 16 elements and Ant. B with 25 elements—each featuring distinct geometries. A dual-hyperuniform distribution is introduced to optimally arrange all antenna units. The array achieves a stable radiation gain of approximately 16 dBi over the 3.4-3.75 GHz band and reaches a peak gain of 19 dBi at 5.1 GHz. Furthermore, the DBHSAA effectively suppresses grating lobes compared to a periodic array of the same size.
