A Novel Dual-Band Polarization Convertor Based on Tightly Coupled Dipole Array and Filter Circuit

In the paper, a novel dual-band reflection-type linear cross-polarization converter (PC) is proposed, utilizing an tightly coupled dipole array (TCDA) integrated with a radio frequency (RF) filter circuit configuration. The antenna array is specifically configured to capture linearly polarized incident waves and transmit orthogonally polarized waves. Incorporating an RF circuit with filtering capabilities enables separate manipulation of both polarization conversion and frequency response at the circuit level. With two operational bands (2.4–4.9 GHz and 5.8–7.3 GHz) offering fractional bandwidths of 68.5% and 22.9%. Moreover, the design exhibits exceptional polarization conversion efficiency and maintains consistent performance even at oblique angles of incidence.
