Wide-Band Dual-Circular Polarization Phased-Array Antenna for Ku-Band Satellite Communication

This paper presents a wide-band dual-circular polarization Ku-Band phased-array transmitter/receiver designed for IoT applications. The proposed phased-array antenna achieves a broad operational bandwidth from 10.7 GHz to 14.5 GHz, featuring an axial ratio (AR) below -3 dB and a realized gain exceeding 2dBi for both left-hand and right-hand circular polarizations (LHCP and RHCP). Leveraging this antenna design, an 8×8 array antenna is developed, demonstrating excellent performance in scanning range. Implemented on a cost-effective PCB platform, the proposed system offers a low-cost solution suitable for satellite communication applications.
