Power Flow Control of a Micro Grid-Connected Photovoltaic System with a Variable Local Consumer

The integration of decentralized photovoltaic power generation into the distribution grid via the microgrid offers great flexibility in the transport of electrical energy. This integration can reduce expenses, expansion and transportation losses. On the other hand, in grid-connected mode, the voltage and frequency are regulated and stabilized by the distribution grid. This study investigates the performance of a grid-connected photovoltaic system with a local consumer under a real measurements radiation and temperature in Marrakech on December 1st, 2024. The system consists of a PV array interfaced with a Boost converter using a Perturb & Observe Maximum Power Point Tracking algorithm, a grid-tied inverter, a local consumer and distribution grid. The numerical simulations results present analyze and control flow of active power, reactive power, and the current and voltage fluctuations of both microgrid-local consumers-distribution grid under real climatic conditions
