Object-Based Knowledge Representation, A Key Component of Informational Intelligence

Currently, knowledge is attracting unprecedented interest from the scientific community. Its importance stems from its high degree of abstraction, which places it at the pinnacle of human thought. Its value as intangible capital increases significantly, especially in voluminous knowledge grids. Capitalizing on knowledge is a major challenge and requires a reliable representation. A great deal of research has been carried out into knowledge representation, but few have addressed its tacit facet in the form of know-how, which accounts for 70 % of the knowledge handled within organizations. Using deductive logic and referring to the Delphi method based on experts' opinions and consensus, we proceed in this article to identify the best knowledge representation methods. We present our knowledge representation method, based on the object approach and the Unified Modeling Language (UML). We show its strengths, which distinguish it from other representation methods, and its role in the foundation of informational intelligence.
