RaptorQu: Electromagnetic Modeling of Superconductors

In this paper a new method for the electromagnetic modeling of superconductors is presented. It combines the Partial Element Equivalent Circuit methodology for inductance and resistance, with a Floating Random Walk method for modeling capacitive coupling. The method is totally aligned with the physics of superconductivity and is able to account for phenomena such as kinetic inductance and the Meissner effect. The accuracy of the method is demonstrated with comparisons against previously published reference data.We also present preliminary results on the efficiency and the capacity of this method.
