Voltage Difference-Based Model-Free Predictive Control for Dual-Active-Bridge Converters

The voltage prediction performance of model predictive control (MPC) exhibits sensitivity to parametric fluctuations in dual-active-bridge (DAB) converters. To improve the robustness of MPC, this article proposes a voltage difference-based model-free predictive control (VD-MFPC) for DAB converters, where the proposed VD-MFPC not only samples the voltage differences for replacing the conventional voltage prediction model but also updates all voltage differences by establishing differences relation for achieving precise and model-free voltage prediction. The proposed VD-MFPC effectively eliminates parametric effects on voltage prediction for DAB converters under parameter fluctuations. The simulation and experiment of DAB converter are conducted to validate the feasibility and performance of the proposed VD-MFPC.
