Investigation of Airy Pulse Spectral Changes in its Interaction with a Convergent Layer

The paper is devoted to the analytical study of the propagation of Airy pulses in a layer with convergent boundaries using the Volterra integral equations method. The obtained expressions allow us to analyse in detail the fields in different parts of the layer by varying the velocity of boundary convergence, the pulse propagation velocity, spatial coordinates and layer thickness. The spectral composition of the resulting fields under different propagation conditions is thoroughly investigated. The one-dimensional spectral analysis of the Airy pulses revealed their broadband nature. The variation of the spectral field and energy in different zones of the layer, including high-index zones, was analysed. It is shown that in the higher-order zones the appearance of new components with a diverse spectral composition is observed. Particularly interesting results were obtained in the spectral analysis of the field in the zone with index 22, which, unlike the previous zones, includes differential components from the field of the previous zone. Thus, nonlinear field transformations occur in the layer with convergent boundaries.
