Digital Signal Processing and Nonlinearity Reduction Techniques for 3.2 Tb/s Intra Data Center Networks

Tb/s WDM-systems operating at up to 400 Gb/s per wavelength are targeted for next-generation intra data center links. Intensity modulation and direct-detection (IM/DD) is likely the most practical solution. We review major impairments and show possible mitigation schemes using DSP on Tx- and Rx-sides.
