Two-in-one IoT device for product pricing and inventory monitoring

This paper presents a novel two-in-one IoT-enabled device for product pricing and inventory monitoring to be used in large store and supermarkets. The device is able to automate the price update process so that no manual intervention is needed. Additionally, it is also capable to monitor stocking levels at each individual shelf and alert the staff when restocking is necessary. With these capabilities, the presented device is able to significantly reduce staff workload and so they can improve productivity and other value-added areas.
