Analysis of Doppler Effect in LoRa Networks Using SDR

This work aims to evaluate the limits of the Doppler effect in LoRa networks, focusing on the context of mobile nodes. To achieve this, a LoRa transmitter will be implemented using a Software-Defined Radio (SDR) system, enabling the emulation and analysis of the Doppler effect under different speed and acceleration conditions. A commercial LoRa device based on the Semtech SX1276 transceiver will be used as the receiver, allowing the investigation of how speed variations impact transmission characteristics. The study seeks to provide models and tools to understand and address the challenges associated with the Doppler effect in various IoT applications, including, as an example, satellite communication.
