Development of a Smart Tire Pressure Monitoring System: A Comprehensive Approach to Vehicle Safety

Tire safety is crucial for preventing accidents, enhancing fuel efficiency, and extending tire life. This project builds a sophisticated Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) using an ESP32 microcontroller and a BMP280 sensor to monitor tire pressure and temperature in real-time. The system converts sensor data into a readable format and displays it on the Webserver. In the event of a sudden pressure drop, it sends an immediate notification, causing the driver to brake and avoiding a potential collision. The technology communicates with Google Maps to direct the car to the nearest repair facility for consistent pressure dips. It also monitors tire temperature and alerts the driver when it reaches a predefined threshold, lowering the danger of tire failure due to overheating. This TPMS improves vehicle safety by offering real-time feedback, proactive alerts, and automatic navigation aids, maintaining ideal tire conditions. The study investigates the system’s design, implementation, and possible influence on vehicle performance and road safety.
