Research on Electromagnetic Bearing Control Using PSO-Optimized Fuzzy PID

As the requirements of modern industry for electromagnetic bearing systems continue to rise, these systems need to have faster response speeds and less overshoot. This necessitates optimizing and improving the control system. I intend to optimize the control system by altering control parameters, such as the proportional, integral, and derivative gains of the PID controller, to achieve a faster response, reduced overshoot, and shortened steady-state time. This paper presents an electromagnetic bearing control system that integrates the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm with Fuzzy PID control and simulates it in MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation results indicate that with PSO-optimized Fuzzy PID control, the system achieves faster response, reduced overshoot, shorter steady-state time, and markedly enhanced control accuracy and efficiency.
