A Blockchain-Based Approach to Privacy Protection in Carbon Accounting

With the increasing global attention on carbon emissions, carbon accounting has become an important tool to achieve carbon neutrality. The traditional carbon accounting method faces the challenge of data privacy disclosure, information tampering and supervision difficulty. To solve these problems, this article proposes an Improved practical Byzantine fault-tolerant (IPBFT) consensus mechanism for carbon accounting privacy protection based on blockchain technology. By combining blockchain technology with IPBFT consensus mechanism, this article not only ensures the transparency, traceability and consistency of carbon accounting data, but also enhances the fault tolerance of the system, which can effectively prevent tampering by malicious nodes. The experimental results show that the proposed method can realize carbon accounting efficiently and safely.
