Research on the Distance Measurement Method for Single-Phase Grounding Fault Based on the Extended Double-End Zero-Sequence Component Relationship

The positioning method based on single-end zero-sequence information is easily affected by fault resistance and line topology, while the positioning method using double-end information is not influenced by fault resistance, but it can be affected by the precision and speed of distance measurement when individual mutual inductors fail. This paper employs a distance measurement method based on section expansion. Firstly, the relationship between the zero-sequence components of complex branch lines is analyzed. Then, the impedance distance measurement method based on section expansion at both ends is studied, and a single-phase ground fault distance measurement method based on the relationship of expanded double-end zero-sequence components is proposed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulation experiments.
