Design of Magnetron Generator for 915 MHz-5 MW for Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) Applications

The article presents the results of design work on a megawatt class microwave generator for industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) purposes. The high-power generator is based on two main components: a 915 MHz fixed frequency magnetron and a high voltage pulse modulator to supply the tube. Article shows process of design including initial analytical calculations, computer simulations using dedicated software, and results of measurement of experimental device. The measurement results confirm the design assumptions, which were achieved thanks to the support of simulation software.
