AI-Driven Insights into Lipid Nanocapsules of Vitamin D3 for Combatting Microbial Biofilm

Microbial biofilms significantly contribute to the persistence and dissemination of antimicrobial resistance. Vitamin D3 is widely recognized for its essential roles in human health, including bone regeneration, antioxidant properties, and anti-inflammatory effects. However, its highly hydrophobic nature limits its absorption and distribution, relying on lipids or proteins for effective delivery. This study seeks to overcome these limitations by formulating vitamin D3 within lipid nanocapsules (LNCs). The developed formulation was characterized, and its antibiofilm activity was assessed using molecular docking analyses.
