Design and Development of Dried Resilience System for Staple Food Preservation

Traditional sun drying methods for crops are becoming increasingly unreliable due to erratic weather patterns, leading to prolonged drying times and increased spoilage. To address this challenge, we propose a heat pump dryer system that ensures a controlled drying environment independent of external weather conditions. The system utilizes a centrifugal blower and heating coil to circulate warm air evenly across the drying chamber, optimizing moisture removal while preserving crop quality. A DHT11 temperature sensor continuously monitors the internal conditions, with real-time data processed by an Arduino UNO for precise control and remote monitoring. The system also features an LCD display for instant temperature visualization, enabling users to adjust drying conditions as needed. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system significantly improves drying efficiency, reduces spoilage, and ensures consistent crop preservation, making it a viable solution for modern agricultural drying needs.
