Single Photon Generation at L-Band Using Spontaneous Four-Wave Mixing in Fluoride Fiber

We experimentally demonstrate a single photon source in L-band using polarization-maintaining fluoride fiber. Using a 1310-nm CW laser beam single photons were successfully generated at $1.57 \mu ~\mathrm{m}$ on the basis of spontaneous four-wave mixing.
