Exceptional Points in Hybrid Coupled Resonators Through Digital Negative Coupling Spring

This study introduces, for the first time, exceptional points (EPs) within a novel hybrid (physical-digital coupled resonators) coupled resonator system, utilizing a digital negative coupling spring. The experimental and simulation results demonstrate strong concordance. Detuning is implemented in the digital domain to illustrate the system's changes to digital perturbations. Notably, the physical resonator exhibits a substantial enhancement in quality factor, increasing from 87,000 to 248,000, alongside an amplitude increase of 8 at the EP.
