Research on Current Sensor Fault Diagnosis Strategy for PMSM Drive Systems

The permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive system is a critical component for ensuring stable operation of control equipment. Drive systems typically rely on precise current sampling for closed-loop control, and current sensor faults can degrade control performance or even cause system instability. This paper establishes an equivalent model for current sensor faults in PMSM drive systems, derives state representations under different fault modes, and proposes an error observer-based fault diagnosis strategy to accurately identify fault types. Simulation and experimental results validate the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed method.
