Physically-Based Compact Model of Organic Electrochemical Transistors

This work presents a physically-based DC compact model of an OECT that takes into account the thermodynamic interaction observed in the above threshold regime and the semiconductor based diffusive charge transport observed in the subthreshold regime. In the model, an interpolation function accounts for the transition between both regimes. Bias dependent expressions of the threshold voltage, subthreshold slope and mobility were implemented to reproduce the observed experimental behavior. The proposed model showed good agreements with experimental measurements of p-type PEDOT:PSS based OECTs.
