Structural Design of a MEMS-Bearing System for Long-Term Coastal Monitoring

This paper presents a novel coastal monitoring system that integrates a MEMS microstructure acoustic pressure sensor within an innovative support structure. Emphasizing a robust design and system integration, the proposed model addresses key challenges in long-term maritime “surveillance, including high-pressure resistance, corrosion, and energy efficiency. The system design incorporates a three-phase operational architecture, which ensures comprehensive automated management–from pre-deployment evaluation and underwater vigilance to efficient target reporting and recovery. Laboratory tests have demonstrated significant improvements in system stability and data accuracy under simulated marine conditions. Our approach not only enhances the reliability of sensor performance in harsh coastal environments but also establishes a scalable platform for further exploration and innovation. This work is expected to contribute significantly to the fields of marine monitoring and sensor system design, offering a promising solution for sustainable coastal surveillance worldwide.
