Star Configured Tuned Liquid Multi-Column Damper for Vibration Control of Offshore Wind Turbines

Offshore floating wind turbines face significant multi-degree of freedom vibrations in complex marine environments. This study develops a star configured Tuned Liquid Multi-Column Damper system for multi-directional vibration control. The innovative three-column design interconnected through a central pipe, effectively reduces platform motion and tower-top displacement. Numerical simulations demonstrate the system's effectiveness, with the Double-threshold switching Based on phase Gap control strategy providing optimized damping performance.
