Efficacy of AI and ML in Chronic Pain management

Millions of people worldwide suffer from chronic pain, which is a major public health concern that lowers quality of life and places a heavy burden on healthcare systems. This review examines the complex biological, psychological, and social aspects of chronic pain, with particular focus on newer approaches like multimodal therapy, cognitive-behavioral interventions, and the use of artificial intelligence in pain management. Important subjects covered include the neurobiological mechanisms underlying chronic pain, advancements in diagnosis, and the evolution of treatment strategies. The review also identifies information gaps and emphasises the value of patient-centered, individualised therapy in managing chronic pain.
