A Novel FANF-EMOGI-FLL Approach for Enhanced Synchronization and Control in Hybrid Wind-PV-BESS Standalone Distributed Generation

A sophisticated synchronization and control method for a distributed generation system that integrates photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage systems (BESS) and wind energy conversion (WEC) is presented in this paper. For accurate synchronization and control, the system uses a frequency-locked loop (FLL) with an enhanced multiple-order generalized integrator (EMOGI) coupled with a frequency adaptive notch filter (FANF). Even during distortion and imbalance, this method improves system stability and response time. To ensure a consistent power supply and frequency control, the distributed generation scheme combines wind energy via a self-excited induction generator (SEIG) with PV and BESS. Through load compensation, harmonic distortion mitigation and voltage/frequency balancing, a voltage source converter (VSC) guarantees effective operation. To maintain power balance between the supply and load, a bidirectional DC-DC converter (BDC) is attached to the DC-link side of the voltage source converter (VSC) via a battery energy storage system (BESS). For maximum power point tracking (MPPT), an incremental conductance algorithm amplified with an integral regulator is utilized. Through MATLAB/Simulink simulations, the robustness of the system is validated by assessing the dynamic oscillations, microgrid frequency, and harmonic distortion under various load and energy source scenarios.
