Development of an Augmented Reality Mobile Application for Interactive Geometry Learning in Children

Indonesia faces persistent challenges in mathematics education, particularly in geometry, which is fundamental to developing logical thinking and spatial visualization skills. Despite its significance, student performance remains below the global average, largely due to inadequate problem-solving abilities and low motivation. To address these issues, this study presents the development of an Augmented Reality geometry application tailored for Indonesian primary education. Employing the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation model, the application integrates curriculum standards, Child-Computer Interaction principles, and gamification elements. Key features include interactive 3D object manipulation, geometric net animations, and quizzes designed to improve understanding of volume, surface area, and 3D shape recognition. Usability testing using the System Usability Scale yielded an average score of 81.79, indicating strong user acceptance and effectiveness in enhancing engagement and comprehension.
