Design and Development of Quadratic Boost DC-DC Converter for EV Application

In this study, a quadratic boost DC-DC converter for electric vehicle applications is designed and developed. The suggested converter effectively transfers energy from lowvoltage batteries to high-voltage EV powertrains because it has higher voltage gain than traditional system. Because of characteristics like lower losses, smaller size, and increased dependability, it guarantees peak performance across a variety of operating circumstances. The high efficiency, stability, and suitability of the converter under fluctuating load demands are confirmed through simulation and hardware prototype testing. This work therefore contributes significantly to the development of energy- efficient solutions toward sustainable electric mobility. The operation of the converter is studied in MATLAB/Simulink and prototype is developed to verify the simulation results.
