Digital Infrastructure and the Path to Smart Cities in European Middle-Income Countries

Exploring digital infrastructure's pivotal role, this study delves into how middle-income countries can harness technology to develop smart cities. Every European or global methodology on smart cities' indicators include the digital infrastructure that ensures the connectivity of all entities. This paper analyses digital infrastructure in particular European middle-income countries. A case study for Serbia as an example has been presented.
