Low Complexity Decoder Hardware for a Novel Family of Linear Block Codes

A novel family of three-erasure-correcting linear block codes over $GF(q)$ with characteristic two, along with their corresponding syndrome decoding procedures, was recently introduced. In this paper, we propose low-complexity hardware architectures for efficiently computing syndromes, which are essential for the decoding process of this newly developed code family.
