Magnetic Field Calculation of a Permanent Ring Magnet with a Trapezoidal Cross-Section

This paper presents a method for deriving an expression for the magnetic field in the vicinity of a permanent ring magnet with a trapezoidal cross-section, based on the concept of fictitious magnetic charges. The obtained results are compared with those generated using the FEMM software package. Furthermore, a comparative analysis of the magnetic field strength around a ring magnet with a trapezoidal cross-section and that of a ring magnet with a rectangular cross-section of equal volume is provided.
