Anti-Windup Resonant Controller with Zero Phase

This article is aimed at developing a proportional-resonant controller. Currently, converter control is implemented using methods based on determining the model parameters, without using a model, and with its fixed structure. In the absence of model parameters, a resonant controller can be used, however, in the absence of stability, it is necessary to use output limitations. In many cases, direct comparison is used, but this is not applicable to sinusoidal quantities and leads to additional distortions. This paper presents a controller that uses internal state variables for “soft” limitation of the output value, as well as for ensuring stability in a given range due to the dynamically changing quality factor of the circuit. Also, this preserves the provision of zero phase between the input and output signals of the controller at any quality factor, which is one of the main properties of the controller. With a finite quality factor, astatism of the closed system in amplitude and phase is not achieved, however, suppression of a given harmonic is ensured in the presence of limitations.
