Use of Heart and Lung Auscultation Simulators

Cardiovascular diseases and respiratory disorders remain one of the key challenges in modern medicine, highlighting the need for improved training of specialists in this field. An important aspect of education is the development of auscultation skills, particularly in children, where anatomical and physiological characteristics increase the risk of misdiagnosis. This article examines contemporary auscultation simulators used in medical education. A review of existing solutions is conducted, including both Russian developments and international counterparts. Their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. Special attention is given to innovative approaches, including the use of IoT, 3D printing, and RFID technologies, which enable the creation of more accurate and effective training devices. The study proposes prospects for the development of auscultation simulators. The authors present a concept for an enhanced educational and examination simulator for the auscultation of the heart and lungs in children, along with a structural design for its development. The simulator is expected to include additional auscultation points, a mechanical unit, and the use of RFID technology to create an innovative training device.
