Design-Based Research on Principles of Large-Unit Instruction to Promote Students' Digital Learning and Innovation Literacy

In the digital age, higher requirements are placed on citizens' digital literacy. The high-school information technology curriculum standards revised in 2020 emphasize the importance of digital learning and innovation literacy. This study uses the design-based research to explore the design principles and theoretical models of large-unit instruction for promoting this literacy. Firstly, six design principles are proposed based on educational theories. Then, through three rounds of teaching iterations, continuous reflection and modification are carried out. By combining qualitative and quantitative data, six design principles for large-unit instruction that promote students' digital learning and innovation literacy and a theoretical implementation model are summarized. These have been proven effective through verification.
