International Intelligent Pedagogical Agents Research: Progress, Hotspots and Trends

With the deep integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology into the field of education, research on Intelligent Pedagogical Agents (PAs) has garnered significant attention. Against this backdrop, this study based on a sample of 171 relevant articles indexed in the Web of Science (WOS) core collection from 2014 to 2024, employs bibliometric tools such as Citespace 6.4.R1 to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the international progress, hotspots, and trends in intelligent PAs research. The objective is to provide a thorough and insightful understanding of the academic research and practical applications within the domain of intelligent PAs, thereby contributing to more efficient and sustainable growth of this field on a global scale.
