A Literature-Based Analysis of Chatbot Applications in Education: Insights into Primary and Secondary School

ChatGPT, an AI-driven chatbot developed by OpenAI, has gained global attention for its potential in education. While chatbots hold promise for primary and secondary education, their application remains underexplored, with various challenges to address. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of chatbot research in education, focusing on primary and secondary schools. Using CiteSpace and literature from 2020 to 2024, we identify research trends, key contributors, and future directions. The findings provide insights for educators, researchers, and policymakers on leveraging AI chatbots to enhance teaching and learning.
