Secure Load Frequency Control of Multi-Area Interconnected Power System Based on High-Order Control Barrier Functions

This paper proposes a method using high-order barrier functions for safety control, which can unify safety conditions (expressed as high-order control barrier functions) and stability objectives (expressed as control Lyapunov functions), and applies it to load frequency control of multi-area interconnected power system, to ensure both the security and stability of the system simultaneously. By comparing it with traditional proportional-integral control, the superiority of the barrier function method in terms of safe and stable control is demonstrated.
