A Continuously Full-range Regulation Method for Class-DE Resonant Converter

A novel continuously full-range regulation method for Class-DE resonant converter is proposed in this paper. This kind of method for the resonant converter can accurately regulate the output voltage in a wide range of input voltage and load. Through the action of the resonant circuit, the soft-switching operation is realized, so that the voltage and current stresses of the switching devices are smaller, and the energy losses and electromagnetic interference are reduced. The working process is divided into four stages and analyzed one by one. The voltage gain curves, voltage and current stress conditions are analyzed comprehensively. Besides, in order to verify the effectiveness of the analysis, the corresponding simulation is carried out. Simulation results show that the voltage gain of the converter can be continuously adjusted in the limited frequency range.
