Respondible Load Potential Calculation Method for Industrial Park Distribution System Planning

Considering the impact of demand response of various types of loads in industrial parks on distribution system planning, a simple and practical method of calculating demand response potential is proposed by combining the demand response capability and demand response speed of respondable loads. Firstly, the respondable loads in industrial parks are classified and analysed, secondly, the demand response potential of each type of respondable loads is calculated individually based on the analysis of load characteristics, and finally, the potential calculation method is used to calculate the potential size and percentage of each type of responsive loads in an industrial park in a city in 2023. The results show that industrial loads are still the main demand-responsive loads, electric vehicles will have good demand-responsive potential in the future due to their increased size and faster response speed than industrial loads, and 5G base stations are limited by their size and have little change in demand-responsive potential.
