Secure Biomedical Data Collection Using Mobile Sensors Based on Blockchain Technology

In the digital era, securing access to Electronic Health Records (EHR) becomes the need of the hour in securing personal health information. For that reason, the project developed introduces a multilayer password security system against the access to EHR while implementing text-based passwords, graphical password verification, and SHA-256 cryptographic hashing at each layer with adequate security only provided to legitimate users. The system cuts off access upon failed attempts and sends encrypted messages to the patient’s email along with requiring administrative approval for re-access. These features improve protection of data, adhere to the privacy standards, and ensure user-friendly usability. With state-of-the-art security features in place, it protects the patients’ privacy while maintaining data integrity as well as inspires trust in the EHR system, making this system suitable for various healthcare applications.
