Impact of AI use on soft skills: Fuzzy AHP based analysis

Advanced technology has reduced soft skills among students, making it challenging for teachers to instill them in the digital age. Research suggests focusing on cooperative, communication, problem-solving, and adaptability in education for personal and professional development. The aim of the presented work is the exploration of the impact of AI use on soft skills of students using Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process methodology. Total nine soft skills have been identified those may be impacted by AI use by the students in India and the comparative weights of these chosen nine soft skills are computed with an instrumental multi criteria decision making method based triangular fashioned fuzzy numerals in pairwise comparison. Later, these nine soft skills are categorised in three different categories as 'Attitude Category', 'Cognitive skills Category', 'Social Category'. These three categories of soft skills are analyzed and compared using fuzzy AHP technique to get ranked. Policymakers may find the rating of these criteria useful in formulating future plans for the Indian context.
