Micro-structured Capacitive Pressure Sensors based on 3D Printing for Gait Monitoring

Gait monitoring has been widely considered an important means in human health monitoring and medical rehabilitation engineering. Various of flexible pressure sensors have been prepared and applied in gait monitoring. However, the preparation process for these flexible pressure sensors is complicated and is not conducive to the large-scale preparation of pressure sensors. In this paper, 3D printing technology is applied to the fabrication of a micro-structure dielectric layer of the flexible capacitive pressure sensor, which can quickly prepare flexible capacitive pressure sensors with high sensitivity, fast response speed, high stability, and durability. The sensor embedded in the sole of the insole can collect different gait signals, which can be applied to long-term gait monitoring tasks and have practical value in the medical field.
