Design of the High Performance WIFI Dual-band Yagi Antenna

This paper presents the design of high-performance Yagi antenna covering WiFi bands, which exhibits the excellent property of dual bands, wide band, high gain and low reflection coefficient. A quasi-Yagi antenna is adopted as the design basis sketch to ensure the high gain characteristics. Meanwhile, the stepped slot line, floor corner cutting, double dipoles and branching dipoles techniques are all used here to realize the good impedance matching in the WiFi dual-bands of the antenna. The simulation results by HFSS software show that the frequency range of S11<-15dB is over 2.4-2.5GHz (4.1%) and 5.08-6.0 GHz (16.6%), which completely covers the WiFi band. Finally, the good end-fire radiation patterns are achieved and high gain at these bands are stabilized above 7dBi.
