Design of AUV Visual Simulation System Based on MOOS

AUV (Autonomous underwater vehicles) play a crucial role in ocean exploration and research. With the increasing demand for marine science, marine resource development, and marine environmental protection, higher requirements have been put forward for the research and application of AUV technology, especially in extreme or unknown marine environments, where efficient and safe operation of AUV has become a key challenge. Therefore, developing a highly realistic AUV visualization simulation system can not only support the early planning and verification of complex ocean tasks, but also significantly improve the safety and effectiveness of AUV operation. This article develops an AUV visualization simulation system based on the MOOS (Mission Oriented Operating Suite) framework and OSG (Open Scene Graph) graphics library to assist in the algorithm design verification, task planning, and operator training of AUV; The system incorporates a grid based ocean current model The AUV energy consumption model can be used for simulating complex ocean currents and validating energy consumption algorithms.
