Adaptive Sliding Mode Control for Stabilizing DC-DC SEPIC Converters with Uncertain Dynamics

An approach known as adaptive sliding mode control (ASMC) is presented in this research which is designed to handle system uncertainties without requiring prior boundedness assumptions. Traditional ASMC approaches often assume that uncertainties are bounded by a known constant to ensure stability; however, this assumption can limit the applicability of these methods to systems where uncertainties are inherently unbounded or state-dependent. The proposed ASMC framework adapts the switching gain in real time, allowing it to maintain stability without requiring a priori knowledge of uncertainty bounds. The methodology is validated through both theoretical analysis and simulations, which demonstrate its effectiveness in stabilizing systems with unknown, variable uncertainties. An application to Euler-Lagrange systems highlights the generalize ability and resilience of the proposed method, making it promising solution for the practical systems with unpredictable disturbances and dynamic environments. In this paper, simulation has been done by taking input voltage as 30V, reference voltage as 50V and achieved output voltage is 50 V. The input current is 1.15A.
