ScutumPay: A Secure and Efficient Multi-Party Payment Channel Scheme for Wireless Community Networks

The advent of wireless community networks has brought a decentralized, user-centric approach to network architecture. While off-chain payment channels enhance scalability and enable prompt transaction confirmation, existing solutions struggle with the increasing frequency of microtransactions, including bandwidth trading. This paper introduces ScutumPay, a secure and efficient solution designed for wireless community networks. By integrating multi-party payment channels, ScutumPay improves network efficiency and stability. It provides flexibility by enabling channel state evaluation after each transaction round and allows users to join or exit without compromising stability. Additionally, a two-stage election-based multi-party regulatory mechanism enhances transaction security. Experimental results validate ScutumPay's effectiveness and security.
