Satellite Communication 5G Technology Integration Solution in Ship Intelligent Communication

As the global shipping industry accelerates its transformation towards intelligence and digitalization, ship intelligent communication puts forward higher requirements on network stability and real-time performance. Traditional communication methods have limitations in ocean coverage and offshore capacity, and it is difficult to meet the business needs of ship navigation, remote monitoring, etc. To this end, this paper proposes a solution for integrating satellite communication and 5G technology, and designs a heterogeneous network adaptive switching algorithm based on dynamic weights (DW-HNAS). The algorithm innovatively constructs a dynamic weight calculation model, and dynamically adjusts the weights of key indicators such as signal strength, network load, and transmission delay by introducing fuzzy logic and weighted average algorithm to achieve accurate switching between satellite communication and 5G network. Typical scenarios such as ships in offshore ports and ocean voyages are simulated based on the NS-3 simulation platform, and parameters such as satellite link bandwidth of 2Mbps and 5G network bandwidth of 100Mbps are set, and compared with the traditional switching algorithm based on signal strength. The results show that the switching success rate of the DW-HNAS algorithm reaches 98.7%, which is 15.2% higher than that of the traditional algorithm; the communication delay is reduced to 32ms, a decrease of 28.9%; the packet loss rate is only 1.3%, a decrease of 42.1%; the throughput is increased to 85Mbps, an increase of 34.4%. The research results effectively solve the problems of low switching efficiency and poor stability of ship communication networks, and provide a new technical path and practical reference for the development of ship intelligent communication technology.
