Food as a Service: An AI-Powered 3D Food Printing SoS

The Food as a Service (FAS) system offers food production and delivery through a portable, AI-powered 3D food printing solution. Integrating advanced machine learning models with Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technology, the system achieves efficient resource allocation, reduces food waste, and delivers personalized meal options. Unlike existing systems, FAS integrates predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and modular adaptability for diverse operational environments. FAS focuses on the entire process of food printing including the machine's health. This paper examines the FAS systems implementation through a System of Systems (SoS) perspective, specifically analyzing its interoperability, autonomy and scalability.
